Manifesto

April 2023

In order to address the lack of accessibility in the art world, we had a brainstorming session with artist Emma Dominguez to articulate our own voices. Emma Dominguez is a Stockholm-based artist who grew up in the suburb of Stockholm, Alby in Botkyrka Municipality. Her work often questions power structures and who gets to be visible, heard, and occupy space in common areas.

Together with Emma, we reflected on our roles as art mediators, practitioners, visitors, and representatives of our communities, engaging in a collaborative brainstorming session to address three key questions: what do we see, what do we think, and what do we want. This resulted in the formation of a manifesto that reflects our collective vision for a more accessible and inclusive art world.
